LEAN ON ME 24.4.2016
Helsinki Dance Theatre gave it's first performance on April 24th at the Music center in Helsinki. The evening was called Lean on me and it featured two of the artistic director Val Rey Suarez's pieces, What you can't leave behind and Burned by a bush. The company's two performance that night were greeted with nearly sold out seats of spectators. Among them were also refugees, to who we treated to some art to give them something positive to think about.

Esitimme Val Suarezin teoksen Burned by a Bush Helsingin tanssiopiston tiloissa Kasarmintorilla aivan tupaten täydelle salille. Ihmisiä oli jonossa ulko-ovelle saakka. Tunnelma oli tiivis ja hikinen.
We performed mr. Suarez' piece Burned by a Bush to a jam packed house during a free performance. There was a line to the outer door and we got to perform in a sweaty and intensive room.
